Welcomes and Whys

Hi everyone! I realized that I never introduced myself and I’m taking the opportunity to do so now.

My name is Joss and this is my blog Creatively Positive (obviously). The why behind my blog is pretty simple: I want to inspire people to be positive and to create a life that they love.

“I want to inspire people. I want someone to look at me and say, ‘Because of you, I didn’t give up.’ “

As a college student, I’ve found it hard to find a voice that is similar to mine. Most of the college blogs I have seen don’t touch on the level of health I want physically (read: weight loss), emotionally, or mentally. They don’t cover minimalism, because oddly enough as a millennial I don’t want more things, I want more of life. And I just felt excluded from the stereotypical narratives of women in college.

I have been through a lot these past few years and they have shaped me into the person that I am today. And I think that these stories are worth of sharing. As much as I am doing this to inspire you, I’m also doing this for myself. I’ve always thought that putting yourself out into the world is an amazing way to keep yourself accountable. And more often than not, I’ll be telling you guys about the things that go on in my daily life and relate that to different topics.

I don’t know what I’ll be writing about, but it will be relate-able so that everyone can take some small lesson from my own experiences. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about things you want to see on the blog, let me know! I would love to hear from you and really make this a conversation.

I look forward to the long conversation we are going to have.
